  • Daniele is a Senior Investment Partner and Investment Committee member at Sempera
  • Daniele has 24 years experience in investment banking and asset management
  • Prior to founding Sempera, he was a member of the fixed income, currencies and commodities Group (FICC) at UBS
  • At UBS Daniele has built market leading franchises in solution driven investing across credit, rates and structured finance
  • Daniele holds a M.Sc. in Business Administration from C. Cattaneo University in Italy
ALEX BRUELLS
Senior Investment Partner
  • Alex is a Senior Investment Partner and Investment Committee member at Sempera
  • He has over 19 years of experience in Private Equity, asset management and investment banking
  • Alex was a member of the EMEA private equity team at Kohlberg Kravis Roberts (KKR) from 2009 to 2017
  • He started his career with Goldman Sachs in their Principal Investment Area (PIA). He subsequently joined Goldman Sachs Investment Partners (GSIP), a fundamental long/short equity fund spun out of the Goldman Sachs Principal Strategies (GSPS) group
  • Alex holds a Master's degree from WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management
GIANLUCA BELLINO

  • Gianluca is a Senior Investment Partner and Investment Committee member at Sempera
  • He has 15 years of experience in finance and is former senior manager at Osculati & Partners (McKinsey spin-off) where he was leading M&A and debt restructuring transactions across industrial and financial sectors
  • Prior to that, Gianluca was a consultant at Partners CPA, where he was involved in valuations, fairness opinions and BP modelling
  • Gianluca holds a M.Sc. in Finance and Accounting and B.A. in Business Administration from L. Bocconi University in Italy
CHRISTIAN HILLE
Senior Investment Partner
  • Christian is a Senior Investment Partner at Sempera
  • Christian has 24 years of experience in asset management and investment banking and is former Global Head of Deutsche AM’s Multi Asset & Solutions Group, managing €100bn+ assets across a wide spectrum of Multi Asset Funds and bespoke mandates
  • Christian is also former Senior Trader and book runner at Nomura and UBS, for credit and credit derivatives
  • Christian holds M.Sc. in Physics from Clausthal, Germany and M.Sc. In Mathematical Finance from Oxford University
UGO CALCAGNINI

  • Ugo is a Senior Investment Partner at Sempera and Investment Committee member at Sempera
  • Ugo has more than 26 years of experience in investment banking including being the former Head of Emerging Markets Trading at Natwest Market and the Global Head of Credit Flow trading at VTB in London
  • Prior to that he was Head of Credit Flow trading (CEMEEA) for Barclays Capital and Head of External debt trading for Deutsche Bank Emerging Markets Division. Ugo has also traded interest rate and credit derivatives for Lehman Brothers
  • Ugo holds an MBA from the University of Rochester in NY, USA

  • Bill has over 35 years experience in asset management and banking. He is former Head of Wealth Discretionary for Deutsche
    Bank Wealth Management US
  • Prior to that he was Head of Fixed Income EMEA for Deutsche Asset Management leading a team managing €140bn in Frankfurt, Zurich, London
  • Bill holds a BIS degree in Economics, Finance and Communication from the University of Minnesota, US
